Gabriel Maggio, Jr., Immigration Counsel

Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Gabriel “Gabe” Maggio, Jr, graduated in 1996 from the University of Windsor with an honours degree in Criminology. In 1999 Gabe earned an LL.B from the Ron W. Ianni Faculty of Law. He then articled with the Maggio Walk-In Law Firm and the Michael Kruse Law Firm between 1999 and 2000. In addition to his education Gabriel Maggio has over a decade of interior and exterior small construction experience in management and design.

In May of 2000, Gabe began his own firm, consulting and counseling in the areas of Canadian immigration matters. In the early years, he concentrated on Family Sponsorships, Permanent Residencies, Citizenship, Student, Tourist, and Work Visas, and Humanitarian and Refugee cases. More recently, Gabe has focused his counsel to North American Free Trade and Business based petitions, Significant Benefit Cases (Economic and Culture), Skilled Worker and Labour Market petitions, Temporary Resident Permits, and Inadmissibility and Merchant Mariner issues.

Professionally, Gabe Maggio is regulated by, and a current member in good standing with, the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, is a former member of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, a Fellow with the Canadian Migration Institute, and a Canadian Representative of the Australian-Wide Migration Group. Gabriel Maggio’s office is also a proud member of the regional Better Business Bureau.

Gabe Maggio is a former Trustee, and current member, of the First Lutheran Church of Windsor. He’s a former Senator at the University of Windsor, and he’s frequently a Volunteer Placement Host for the Women’s Enterprise Skills Training organization. Gabe has also coached house league soccer with the Windsor Soccer Club, and is a member at the Windsor Yacht Club. He is also a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

Gabe Maggio currently writes a weekly column for the Windsor Square and for the Al-Mohajer newspaper. He writes regarding municipal issues, international law, and Canadian immigration matters and regulations.

Gabe Maggio is married to Nancy and has three boys, Noah, Cole and Beau. They live in Downtown Windsor.
